Six Touchdowns
Last week, with quite a few former Ohio State players on a bye week, we had a slight shortage of things to talk about. This week, we definitely do not, as former Buckeyes were responsible for six touchdowns over the weekend.
Braxton Miller
Braxton Miller has been a healthy scratch the past three weeks for the Houston Texans, but he was on the field on Sunday afternoon against the Browns, and made use of the game time, scoring a one-yard touchdown.
Miller was the giver of many of those pop-passes in college, now he's the receiver and he seems to be enjoying every minute of it, diving into the end zone in celebration.
Somewhat hilariously, Miller still finished the day with -5 receiving yards as his only other reception went for a six yard loss.
Marshon Lattimore
Marshon Lattimore played perhaps the best game of his very young NFL career on Sunday, highlighted by his first-ever trip to an NFL end zone.
Lattimore had a stat sheet stuffing performance on Sunday afternoon, finishing the game with one interception returned for a touchdown, a fumble recovery, two passes defended, five total tackles.
It was one heck of a game for the rookie.

Ted Ginn Jr.
Not to be outdone by the younger Glenville alum, Ted Ginn Jr. had himself a nice game as well, highlighted by a 20-yard touchdown catch where he caught the ball in space and showed off his slipperiness.
Ginn led the Saints in receiving on the day, finishing with four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown, and also added one rush for six yards, two kick returns for 26 yards, a punt return for 6 yards, and one total tackle.
With Vonn Bell's performance, which included a sack, 2 tackles for a loss, as well as Michael Thomas' continuous dominance, New Orleans is turning into Columbus II.

Jeff Heuerman
In his third season since the Broncos drafted him in the third round of the NFL Draft, Jeff Heuerman finally has his first professional touchdown, as the former Buckeye tight end snagged a ball in traffic in the middle of the end zone.

It was a relatively inconsequential score, but it's good to see Heuerman once again involved in a passing game.
Carlos Hyde
Everyone else on this list just found the end zone twice, but Carlos Hyde found it twice on Sunday afternoon.
Guapo finished the game with 13 carries for 28 yards and two touchdowns, as well as five catches for 47 yards.
Hyde hasn't been putting up huge rushing numbers lately, but he's sure been punching the ball in for six, because he's nearly impossible to stop in short-yardage situations.
Manimal Forces a Fumble
Darron Lee has had an up-and-down NFL career thus far, but playing the Browns last week seemed to give him quite the confidence boost. Lee played perhaps the best game of his career against Cleveland, flying all over the the field, particularly in the second half.

Fun little piece of creativity. Unbalanced Power-O from Hue here. Pulls Bitonio and JT. Bitonio looks clueless and Darron Lee destroys him, but luckily Crow gets past him. pic.twitter.com/VjgEvQgBO0

Lee was at it again on Sunday afternoon against the Patriots right from the start, forcing a fumble early in the game.
Lee finished the game with six total tackles, one pass defended and a forced fumble, though it wasn't enough to lift his team to victory, as his Jets fell to the Patriots 24-17, but he's remaining optimistic.

Mewhort Mulls Retirement?
Bad news out of Indianapolis: the Colts have placed offensive lineman Jack Mewhort on the injured reserve list, ending his season.
Mewhort has been a key cog in Indianapolis' offensive line since his arrival in 2014, starting 14 games his rookie season, and every game for which he was healthy after that.
He's had a successful career, but it's possible that career could be coming to an early close, as Tony Donohue of 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis reports that Mewhort might be considering retirement.
Was told last night about Mewhort going to IR. Was told he's considering retiring. #Colts

Jalin Marshall Waived
Just one week after returning from a four-game suspension for using banned substances, the New York Jets have waived former Buckeye receiver Jalin Marshall.
Marshall signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent before the 2016 season. Last year, he caught 14 balls for 162 yards and two scores. He saw most of his action as a returner, where he averaged nearly 25 yards a kick return and returned 18 punts for 100 yards.
The Jets reportedly plan to add him to their practice squad if he clears waivers, but I hear there's another team in New York that desperately needs receivers...
Jenkins Jam
It would seem former Buckeye cornerback Malcolm Jenkins was excited to beat the Panthers on Thursday night...

Jenkins had just two tackles in the game, but that dance is worth far more than any stats he could have accrued on the field.
Ohio Against the World
I know what you're thinking – "Kevin, Ohio State players combined for 6 touchdowns. You *HAD* to have won this week."
Well, I didn't, for a few reasons.
First off, Carlos Hyde may have had two touchdowns, but that's basically all he had. Second, one of those six was scored by a defensive player, Marshon Lattimore. Third, Braxton Miller may have scored, but he also somehow finished the game with negative yardage. Plus, I started Terrelle Pryor and Michael Thomas – both of whom all-but took a week off – over him anyway, because I'd be stupid not to.
It was a good week, but had Michael Thomas and Terrelle Pryor had even average outings and had it not been a bye week for the Cowboys – shoutout to Boom Herron for filling in, anyway – it could have been my first-ever win.
As it stands, though, we're still chasing. We'll get them next week.
