Just like the Coaches Poll, Ohio State has remained at No. 6 in this week's edition of the Associated Press (AP) Poll after a bye week.

All of the top eight teams stayed put, as none of them lost this week. Notre Dame jumped four spots up to No. 9 after throttling USC, who dropped ten spots– the biggest fall of the week– to No. 21. Iowa State enters the poll for the first time, coming in at No. 25, taking over Michigan's spot as the Wolverines fell all the way out of the poll.

Of note: adding to the intrigue surrounding the upcoming game, No. 2 Penn State is the highest-ranked team to play Ohio State in Columbus since 2006.
