Michael Bennett is no longer with the Jaguars as Jacksonville released the former Buckeye defensive tackle to make room for veteran defensive end Dante Fowler, the team announced on Tuesday.
Bennett’s NFL career has been plagued with injuries. After playing in 13 games his rookie season in 2015, Bennett missed the entire 2016 season with a leg injury and all but one game of the 2017 season with a pectoral injury.

Despite playing just one game the past two seasons, Bennett is at or near full health this season and made the Jaguars initial 53-man roster.
Bennett is the second former Ohio State defensive tackle to be cut in just a 24-hour span, as the Bills released Adolphus Washington on Monday.
