Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. Across the Shield follows those who once wore Scarlet and Gray on their journeys through the NFL.

A Wild Week for Zeke

Underneath the beard lies a fearless man. Ezekiel Elliott is indisputably one of the NFL's top running backs. In the regular season, he led all players with 1,434 rushing yards.

Dallas had been facing a lot of scrutiny coming into the season due to their lack of recent playoff success. Elliott was brought in a few years ago to help change that, and in his second ever playoff game, he didn't disappoint.

Rushing for 137 yards on 26 carries (5.3 ypc), Elliott steamrolled through the Seattle defense all day, adding this score.

Elliott added 32 yards on four catches. It will be interesting to see what he does next week when the Cowboys travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams.

You should probably expect him to play well.

In Baltimore...

Sacks are Joey Bosa's best friend, and the third-year pro had himself another one yesterday in the Los Angeles Chargers win over the Baltimore Ravens on the road.

In eight games since coming back from injury in week 10, Bosa has now recorded 6.5 sacks.

Tough news, Tom Brady: Bosa is coming for you next week.

Realistically, Bosa is one of the top defensive ends in the league right now, and is only getting better with time. He's just 23 years old.

Even with the win today, the Chargers cannot rest long, as they have a date with the New England Patriots in Foxboro next weekend.

Across the slate next week, many former Buckeyes will be in action. As mentioned, the Cowboys and Chargers will head on the road next week, while the New Orleans Saints, led by their plethora of Buckeyes, will play host to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Let's just sit back and watch them work.
