Dwayne Haskins' time has come.
The former Ohio State quarterback will make the first start of his NFL career on Sunday when the Washington Redskins play the Buffalo Bills, Redskins coach Bill Callahan announced Friday.

With Case Keenum still in the concussion protocol after suffering a concussion in the Redskins' last game against the Minnesota Vikings, they are turning to their first-round pick to start for the first time in the ninth game of his rookie season.
Haskins has struggled in his first two game appearances for the Redskins this year, completing just 12 of 22 passing attempts for 140 yards with zero touchdown passes and four interceptions, but he's come off the bench in both of those games. This week, Haskins has practiced with the first-team offense all week and will get his best opportunity yet to show where he is at in his development.
Keenum hasn't been much better this season, and the Redskins are just 1-7 as a result, so Sunday's game – against a Bills defense that ranks third in the NFL with just 194.4 passing yards allowed per game – could certainly serve as an audition for Haskins to potentially seize the starting job for the rest of the season, as well.
Haskins will be the first former Ohio State quarterback to start an NFL game since Terrelle Pryor for the Oakland Raiders in 2013.
Sunday's game in Buffalo is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The game will air on Fox in the Bills' and Redskins' local markets, but is not currently scheduled to be televised in Columbus.
