Five days ago, Ohio State planned to debut its all-white sub-zero uniforms.
Instead, since increased positive coronavirus tests led to a cancelation of the Illinois game, the Buckeyes will rock them for the first time against Michigan State on Saturday. Ryan Day revealed the plan to wear them on his 97.1 radio show on Thursday afternoon, saying the players wanted to wear them and noting “they didn’t want to waste the opportunity to wear the white ones.”
“It’ll be cold Saturday, so maybe that will be the right opportunity to pull them out,” Day said.

This will be the first time the Buckeyes break out alternate uniforms, and these have never been worn before.
Ohio State-Michigan State is set to kick off at noon on Saturday.
