Joshua Perry and Evan Spencer are bringing us the goods.
The pair of Buckeye national champions are giving us an in-depth, intimate deep dive on Ohio State's epic 2014 national title run with a brand new podcast series titled Glory Days: Dreams and Nightmares.
The series will provide an intimate look at everything from that season – the preseason injury to Braxton Miller, the early-season loss to Virginia Tech, the tragic death of Kosta Karageorge, and of course, the epic three-game run to bring home the title.
“Glory Days: Dreams and Nightmares is a destination for anybody who wants to be
brought inside one of the most tumultuous and magical college football seasons ever,”
Perry said. “We bring fans on a journey of game-breaking moments, adversity, tragedy and perseverance that was powered by a firm belief that teamwork and brotherhood would prevail.”
The first episode drops on Aug. 25, and starts all the way at the beginning, recounting Ohio State's crushing loss to Michigan State in the 2013 Big Ten Championship game, followed by the Orange Bowl loss to Clemson. Then the podcast will get into what happened during the offseason and what made that 2014 team special before recounting the title season itself.
“Producing this series allows us to re-live and share this extraordinary year,” Spencer said. “The conversations are unfiltered and full of intimate details that revisit the challenges, obstacles and opponents we overcame to capture the inaugural College Football Playoff Championship.”
Former Ohio State linebacker Curtis Grant – a captain of that 2014 squad – will also serve as a contributor for the podcast, giving his “Captain’s Perspective” segment in each episode.
