Ohio State lands a signing day commitment from four-star running back Anthony Rogers.
They're still mad up north.
It's been more than five years since No. 2 Ohio State beat No. 3 Michigan in double overtime after a gutty first down from J.T. Barrett followed by a dagger touchdown from Curtis Samuel.
Turns out, time healed no wounds up north as Former Michigan defensive lineman Chris Wormley is still quite upset about the spot on Barrett's fourth-down run, insisting to this day that he was short.
But when asked about Wormley's continued resentment, Barrett wasn't really all that concerned about it.
JT Barrett stopped in northwest Ohio last night...we told him that Chris Wormley still to this day says he was short in 2016...here was JT's response... pic.twitter.com/kTj94wZmTa

"I'm glad my guy wasn't the referee, I don't know," Barrett said. "We don't have to discuss it, really. There's not really, double-takes. But yeah, we got a first down, we can move on. But he's not moving on. But he should."
Turns out, Barrett was extremely correct about that last bit. Wormley most certainly has not moved on.
I was hoping to have a lighthearted convo with him when I got to Pittsburgh in 2020. Sadly he was cut shortly after I was traded there. #jtwasshort Also, dont call me My Guy. Im not your guy https://t.co/koZeVRhfNo

But Barrett kept it light and hit him with a perfect and extremely valid clap-back – what about all those other years, too?
Dang @Chris_Wormley43 you sound bitter. We can talk about all the other years you were there and we beat yall too. Im open to it. Lets keep it light tho. #GoBucks https://t.co/wAYIst8jGc

Of course, Wormley wasn't going to let it die there. Instead, he unironically recreated the famous dril "im not owned" Tweet.
I stopped being bitter when a former teammate of yours told me he thought you were short too. Im here for no malice. https://t.co/YRakYpLoLr

It was a valiant attempt by Mr. Wormley, but the unfortunate truth is that if you have to clarify that actually you're not mad online, that almost certainly means you are, in fact, mad online.
In any case, it doesn't really matter what Wormley, or the phantom Ohio State player he's referring to thinks – the spot was the spot, Ohio State won, and Michigan lost.
For anybody else still concerned about it all these years later, I offer an iconic quote from Mike Weber – "Shit happens bum juice."
