The first Buckeye touchdown of the season was also the first of Emeka Egbuka's career.
C.J. Stroud found the sophomore wideout for a 31-yard score on a 3rd-and-6 play on Ohio State's second possession of the first quarter, and the Buckeyes took a 7-3 lead on the Fighting Irish after the extra point.

Egbuka made the first start of his career Saturday as Julian Fleming entered the contest as a game-time decision.
The Buckeyes took a small deficit early to the Fighting Irish as Notre Dame used a 54-yard play on its first drive to set up a field goal. But the Egbuka score at the 5:32 mark of the first quarter put Ohio State on top.
