Ohio State remains unbeaten, taking care of business through its first five games of the season. While the Buckeyes are 5-0, they are just 2-2-1 against the spread, covering the spread against Toledo and Wisconsin before a push against Rutgers Saturday afternoon.
Although the spread is a large one and Ohio State is a heavy favorite once again, the total opens at 61.5 points. The total has gone over three of the Buckeyes' five games this season, including each of their last three games after hitting the under against Notre Dame and Arkansas State to begin their season.
For those that are curious, Ryan Day currently has the best record against the spread on the road and in conference games among all college coaches. Day also had the third-highest percentage of hitting the over among active coaches (58.8%) at the start of the season.
Ohio State's game at Michigan State is set to start at 4 p.m. on ABC next Saturday.
