Ohio State needed Dallan Hayden on Saturday, and he delivered for the Buckeyes on his very first snap.

With TreVeyon Henderson and Chip Trayanum both sidelined with injury against Indiana, the true freshman figured to be RB2 for Ohio State behind Miyan Williams. Hayden wasn't actually the second running back in for the Buckeyes, as Xavier Johnson took snaps at the position before him, but he made his first carry count.

On a 2nd-and-11 rush from the Indiana 14, Hayden took a handoff out of the shotgun and found nothing but green grass ahead of him as he went untouched to the end zone.

It was Hayden's first carry since the Iowa game, and his second touchdown as a Buckeye. The four-star recruit scored for the first time against Toledo during a game in which he also racked up 108 yards on 17 carries.

After the extra point, Hayden's score gave Ohio State a 14-0 advantage over the Hoosiers late in the first quarter, and the Buckeyes scored another touchdown on their very next offensive snap as C.J. Stroud found Marvin Harrison Jr. for a 58-yard strike.
