Former Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave was arrested for reckless operation of a motor vehicle in Kenner, Louisiana on Monday night.
According to NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill, Olave was jailed after he was clocked going 70 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone. He did not resist and was cooperative with law enforcement, and was released from jail at 11:30 p.m. Monday night.
Olave is currently in his second NFL season with the New Orleans Saints. Seven games into the year, Olave has caught 39 passes for 471 yards – ranking in the top 20 in the league in both categories – with one touchdown.
Coming off of a Thursday night loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Saints are set to return to the field against the Indianapolis Colts for their eighth game of the season on Sunday.
