TreVeyon Henderson is ready to return to action.

Ryan Day said Thursday that Ohio State’s starting running back is “full-go” for this week’s trip to Wisconsin after missing the Buckeyes’ last three games with an undisclosed injury.

“Trey’s had a really good week of practice,” Day said on his radio show. “He’s full-go, so excited to get him back out there.”

That likely means Henderson, who remains Ohio State’s leading rusher for the season (295 yards and five touchdowns on 44 carries) despite missing the last three games, will start at running back against the Badgers, though Day also expects some of Ohio State’s other running backs to see playing time. Chip Trayanum has started each of Ohio State’s last three games at running back with Henderson out, while Miyan Williams led the Buckeyes with 62 rushing yards and a touchdown on 24 carries against Penn State.

“We’ll kind of see how the game plays out, but other guys will get opportunities as well,” Day said.

Day has not yet specified whether Emeka Egbuka and Denzel Burke will return to action this week after missing the Penn State game with injuries of their own, though he said Tuesday he was optimistic both of them would be able to play this week, too. Day said Wednesday that the Buckeyes “got a bunch of guys back” at practice this week, but declined to get into specifics about who practiced and who didn’t.

Now that he has confirmed Henderson has been practicing all week and is ready to play, though, it appears Ohio State will have its most explosive running back on the field when it plays Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday night (7:30 p.m., NBC).
