Kyle McCord won’t be heading to Nebraska after all.
Nebraska was viewed as the frontrunner to land the former Ohio State quarterback after he visited Lincoln alongside former Ohio State wide receiver Julian Fleming earlier this week, but McCord has now decided to explore other options, according to multiple reports.

McCord has not yet visited any other schools, so it’s unclear where his eventual destination will be. However, 247Sports’ Tom Loy reported that he was “told to keep a very close eye on Syracuse” as a potential destination for McCord.
The news of McCord deciding against a Nebraska transfer comes two days after reports surfaced that five-star 2024 Georgia quarterback commit Dylan Raiola – himself a former Ohio State commit – is considering a flip to Nebraska. Raiola is scheduled to make an official visit to Nebraska this weekend.
