Corey Dennis is on the move. Again.
After Dennis was hired as an offensive analyst at Utah on Feb. 6, he left the Utes for the same role at Ole Miss. Now, on Tuesday, it was announced that Dennis will leave the Rebels to become quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator for Tulsa, where he will reunite with Kevin Wilson, a former Ohio State assistant and current head coach for the Golden Hurricane.

Dennis spent nine years with the Buckeyes. He started his coaching career as an Ohio State intern in 2015 and climbed the ladder to become a graduate assistant in 2016-17 and a senior quality control coach in 2018-19. Ryan Day promoted Dennis to his full-time staff in 2020, and Dennis served as Ohio State’s quarterbacks coach for the past four seasons.
When Ohio State hired Bill O'Brien (who later became head coach at Boston College) as its offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in January, Dennis was no longer counted as one of the Buckeyes’ 10 full-time assistant coaches. He was expected to “transition into a still-to-be-determined role with the program,” according to an Ohio State press release. However, that role never materialized, and he later moved on to Utah, Ole Miss and, now, Tulsa.
Of the three coaches from Ohio State’s 2023 staff who were not retained for 2024, Dennis is the lone coach to land a role at a new school for the 2024 season so far. Former safeties coach Perry Eliano and former special teams coordinator Parker Fleming have not announced new positions since Ohio State let them go in January.
