Next weekend will mark the second time College GameDay is on campus for an Ohio State game this season. The ESPN kickoff show was also in Eugene on Oct. 12 to preview the top-three showdown between Ohio State and Oregon. The Buckeyes fell to the Ducks, 32-21, in that contest.
After a 21-17 win over Nebraska on Saturday, Ohio State will enter next weekend's game with the Oregon loss as its lone blemish through nine weeks. Penn State, meanwhile, will be undefeated following a 28-13 win over Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium. The Nittany Lions also have victories over West Virginia, Bowling Green, Kent State, Illinois, UCLA and USC this year.
According to consensus lines from The Action Network, Ohio State is a 3.5-point favorite over Penn State as of Sunday morning. The Buckeyes hold a 24-14 advantage in the all-time series. Ohio State has also won seven straight matchups since 2016, when it suffered a 24-21 loss at Beaver Stadium.
Ohio State is 40-20 all-time when GameDay is on campus for one of its games. The team's latest win in a GameDay game came over Notre Dame in 2023, while its latest losses with GameDay on site were to Michigan in 2023 and Oregon in 2024.
