Ohio State returned to the field for its second practice of the spring on Wednesday.

Much like on Monday, media members who cover Ohio State were welcomed in to watch the first hour of practice before the rest of practice was closed to media. As such, we compiled video of the Buckeyes going through various drills during that first hour of practice, which you can watch in the video at the top of the page.

Observationally, there wasn’t a whole lot that changed from the first practice to the second practice. Like on Monday, Malik Hartford practiced with the first-team defense alongside Caleb Downs. Austin Siereveld (left) and Ian Moore (right) took the first-team reps at offensive tackle once again as offseason transfer additions Ethan Onianwa and Phillip Daniels start out with the second-team offensive line.

Ohio State continued to roll reps between Lincoln Kienholz, Julian Sayin and Tavien St. Clair, with Kienholz leading the order for a second straight practice but Sayin also getting reps with the ones. It wasn’t the sharpest start to the practice for any of Ohio State’s quarterbacks, though media did not get to watch any of the team-drills portion of practice.

Five different receivers took reps with the first-team offense on Wednesday as Mylan Graham and Brandon Inniss each took some reps outside in place of Carnell Tate while Bryson Rodgers took some first-team reps in the slot when Inniss moved outside.

Walk-on running back TC Caffey, who worked out on his own during the portion of practice that was open to the media on Monday, returned to running back drill work on Wednesday, with James Peoples continuing to lead the order at running back.

Ohio State defensive end Joshua Mickens was among the players who were not practicing during the portion of practice that was open to the media on Wednesday; after practice, he was holding a crutch while walking across the field.
