2025 cornerback Jordyn Woods flips from Cincinnati and commits to Ohio State.
Today, Ohio State downed the nation's No. 10 team – in two different sports.
Following the football team's 42-13 beat-down of rival Michigan, Ohio State's women's basketball team defeated No. 10 Texas A&M 95-80, thanks to Kelsey Mitchell's record-tying performance.
The reigning NCAA scoring leader was lights out. She managed 42 points, tying Sammy Prahalis' single-game school record. The outing gives the Buckeye star over 1,000 points in her still-young Buckeye career.
"She was outstanding," said Ohio State head coach Kevin McGuff. "She was really efficient – she was aggressive, yet under control. She's fun to watch, and she was really special today."
The win is team's fourth consecutive and its first victory over a ranked opponent on the year, after falling to both No. 1 Connecticut and No. 2 South Carolina to start the season.
The grueling schedule continues this week as the Buckeyes take on No. 3 Notre Dame in South Bend, Wednesday night – the team's third match-up against last season's Final Four teams.
"The schedule doesn't get any easier, but what the heck?" said McGuff. "We're going to go up there and really compete – compete to win."
