Offense:
RB Jeremiyah Love (knee), WR Beaux Collins (calf), LT Anthonie Knapp (lower leg), RG Rocco Spinder (undisclosed)
Defense:
DT Howard Cross III (ankle-heavily wrapped), DT Rylie Mills (knee-out), Vyper Boubacar Traore (knee-out), Vyper Jordan Botelho (knee-out), LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa (knee-brace), CB Benjamin Morrison (hip-out)
Expect to see Jeremiyah Love again against Ohio State but he will be used in limited capacity as he has been all playoffs. ND also lost their starting WR Beaux Collins to a calf injury against Penn State. Their WR core is already thin and not very good.
ND star LT Anthonie Knapp and starting RG Rocco Spindler went down in the 2nd quarter against Penn State. Knapp did not return and I don’t believe Spindler did either. Tosh Baker replaced Knapp at LT and had a horrible game grading in the 40s per pff, Charles Jagusah replaced Spindler and was the 2nd lowest graded OL only above Tosh Baker. I expect ND to try new OL combinations over the next week with both Knapp and Spindler down.
ND lost their star DT Rylie Mills early in the season and their other star DT Howard Cross III has also been injured, playing with a heavily wrapped ankle against Penn State.
Backup LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, a name familiar with a lot of Buckeye fans, is wearing a knee brace and is used mainly on passing downs for ND. ND also lost their starting and backup Vyper (basically a Jack), Boubacar Traore and Jordan Botelho, early in the season to knee injuries.
Their last significant injury is to Benjamin Morrison. A lot of Buckeye fans should remember him from his battles with Marvin Harrison Jr. during the 2022 and 2023 games. A very good corner.
