The Buckeye women's basketball team adds yet another graduate transfer as former Cleveland State guard Ashanti Abshaw announced on Twitter that she will transfer to Ohio State.

This is the second graduate transfer in as many days to commit to Ohio State after LaSalle transfer guard Adreana Miller announced her intentions to transfer into the program on Monday night. As a graduate transfer, she will be eligible to play immediately.

Abshaw is versatile athlete and a proven scorer. She led Cleveland State with 18.5 points per game last season, and was also second on the team in both rebounds and assists, averaging 4.2 boards and 2.1 assists per game.

This is more reinforcements as the Buckeyes look to replace most of the team's production from last season after they lost five players to graduation – three of which are currently playing in the WNBA.

Abshaw is the seventh member of Ohio State's 2018 class, and the third graduate transfer. She joins fellow transfers Najah Queenland from Pacific and Carly Santoro from Bowling Green, as well as three incoming first-year players: four-star freshman guard Jannai Crooms, three-star freshman forward Aaliyah Patty, and four-star international forward Dorka Juhasz.
