I promised y'all Skull Sessions on game days, and there's football in the 'Shoe today. Sure feels like a game day to me.
Word of the Day: Spring.
WHY NOT BOTH? I hope y'all like quarterbacks.
We're gonna get to see a bit of QB, but today is mostly going to be about the quarterbacks of the future. That means extended looks at both Kyle McCord and Devin Brown with the first team, but today is also extremely important for the far more distant future.
The visits of two five-star 2024 quarterbacks, Dylan Raiola and Jadyn Davis, are the biggest recruiting storyline of the weekend. After visiting Ohio State just two weeks ago, Raiola has returned for another visit, leading some to believe he could be on commitment watch for this weekend. Davis, who will be in town on Saturday, has always had the Buckeyes at the forefront of his recruitment. Either one can be considered the top quarterback in the 2024 class depending on which recruiting site’s rankings you go off, and they’ll both be on campus at the same time, setting up one of the most fascinating recruiting weekends in recent memory.
You can't go wrong with either of these fellows – it's kind of a Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence situation – but I'm officially Team Jadyn Davis (which probably means Ohio State should prioritize signing Dylan Raiola, because I'm a known idiot).
But hey, there's room for both!
EDDIE GEORGE SPRING GAME? Personally, I love the spring game and I don't necessarily like to tamper with things that ain't broke. However, I did see a column this week proposing that schools replace spring scrimmages with actual games against FCS opponents. Ryan Day even liked the suggestion when asked about it this week.
Well, if it ever happens, I found our perfect candidate!
Eddie George said he talked to Gene Smith this week about the possibility of Ohio State playing Tennessee State in the future.

I would love that, George said.
I'm going to watch every second of this fake football game today (partially because I'll be getting paid to, admittedly), but adding head coach Eddie George to this equation. Hell, he could even suit up!
BEHIND THE SCENES. There are a lot of people behind the scenes who make this whole Ohio State Football machine work, and Ryan Day gave a few of them the slightest of hat tips as spring practice comes to a close.
As Spring wraps up, I wanted to recognize our Recruiting & Personnel staff. Coaching is made easier when our roster is filled with elite Student-Athletes, and it all starts with this department! Thank you! #GoBucks pic.twitter.com/NV0nfD7zru

I have never heard of most of these people, but I am glad that I now know their names and I am thankful for them nonetheless.
