Michigan Rescinds Commitment of 2016 Offensive Lineman Two Weeks Before National Signing Day

Zany Jim Harbaugh earned headlines this recruiting cycle by doing everything from sleeping with teenagers to climbing trees.

There's a seedy underbelly to the wacky antics, however. Jim Harbaugh has a history of taking every commitment offered and then whittling down his class before national signing day.

It appears 2016 OL Erik Swenson, committed to Michigan since 2013, is the latest victim of Harbaugh's first full class.

From mlive.com:

In a text message to MLive, the four-star offensive tackle said Michigan recently pulled its scholarship offer and canceled his previously-scheduled official visit. He said the program did not provide a reason for doing so. He declined to speak further on the matter at this time.

Michigan, meanwhile, already moved onto recruiting E.J. Price, a higher-rated offensive lineman. Harbaugh didn't even bother to personally communicate the excommunication to Swensen:

The Lord of Whispers tells me Iowa is "up there" as a potential landing spot for Swenson with Nebraska also being a possibility.
