Jake Rudock — a quarterback only discernible from the last 15 Iowa quarterbacks in that he started the last two years — is leaving Iowa and will visit Michigan next week, according to Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman.
Now, Rudock is a graduate and would be eligible to play immediately, but Iowa would still have to grant that release to transfer within the conference. Would Ferentz acquiesce to a program he could meet in Indianapolis for a Big Ten title (lol)? I'm not so sure.
Rudock, despite not being good enough for Iowa, may fit the QB profile for new Michigan offensive coordinator quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch:
"Complete passes, don't turn it over. Complete passes, don't turn it over." -- Jedd Fisch ... Jake Ruddock: 61.7 %, 5 INTs in 12 games

I guess it's better than starting a true freshman at QB.
