Chris Ash is bringing an Ohio State-type offense with him to Rutgers.
The newly-named Scarlet Knights head coach and former Buckeyes co-defensive coordinator is expected to name Drew Mehringer as the team's offensive coordinator, according to Sports Illustrated's Pete Thamel.
Mehinger is currently the wide receivers coach at Houston where he worked under, you guessed it, Tom Herman. Mehringer is a former graduate assistant at Ohio State who went to James Madison, where he was co-offensive coordinator for the Dukes before heading to Houston with Herman last season.
Mehringer is just 28 years old.
