Joe Mixon came to Oklahoma in 2014 as the country's No. 1 running back. Before he played a snap, however, a young woman accused Mixon of fracturing her jaw after an early morning altercation at a Norman pizzeria.
Surveillance tape substantiated the woman's claims, and Mixon was suspended for the entirety of the 2014 season. He pleaded guilty to assault charges in Oct. 2014 and avoided jail.
Mixon rushed for 749 yards and 7 touchdowns (including 345 receiving yards and four touchdown receptions) for the Sooners in 2015.
During a playoff media scrum on Tuesday, Mixon was asked not only about lessons learned during the suspension but also the hoops through which he had to jump to rejoin the team.
Here's his response:

Add this to Baker Mayfield's comments about Texas Christian and its lack of a scholarship offer, and we could soon see Bob Stoops tightening the media reigns.
