Jeremy Pruitt of Dayton, Ohio, used to notice when he received one or two likes on his Tweets.
That was before another Jeremy Pruitt, the defensive coordinator of Alabama, started taking calls on potential head coaching vacancies.
After an incorrect report placed him as Mississippi State, Tennessee eventually hired Alabama's Pruitt.
That instantly created a celebrity of mistaken identity around Knoxville's original Pruitt, who, ironically, is a rabid Ohio State fan from Columbus.
From The Knoxville News:
“It was so weird trying to juggle all of my (interview) times,” he said. “There were times when I had to write interview times down and tell people I had to get off the phone because someone else was calling.”
His co-workers have gotten a kick out of it, too, and his boss at the country club has taken to calling him “Hollywood.”
It's all fun and games until Tennessee goes 6-7 and Volunteer fans, a group not traditionally known for their critical thinking skills, are sticking "FOR SALE" signs in your front lawn and calling for you to lose your job on local radio.
