I don't know that we have ever done a feature in honor of a single before, but this TIMH really isn't about this single released today in 2006.
Sure, it's a pleasant enough song late in David Gilmour's career, in the vein of Pink Floyd's "Fat Old Sun" but nothing like it. His voice is almost a lullaby, yet strong and clear, but that's not what this is about. It's off of his first solo album in over 20 years, but that's not what this is about.
The guitar is, well, you know what the guitar is. An unmistakable tone played by an undisputed master, but that's not what this is about.
This is about a celebration of one of the finest pickers to ever pluck a Fender. A celebration of that song that reminds you of your girl. An excuse to post Floyd songs, to reminisce on days gone by, or just take a well deserved four minute and three second respite from the chaos that surrounds us.
It is an invitation to smile and to share one with someone that doesn't have one.
