Four-star 2026 TE Corbyn Fordham gives Ohio State a Thanksgiving day commit.
Hello. It's slow as heck today and Coop's done all the heavy lifting around here, along with Hove, lately. So I figured I'd present something for all four Deftones fans that visit this site, but really it's just to present some music banter. You're welcome.
Abe Cunningham was born on this day in 1973 in Long Beach, CA, though he grew up in Sacramento. It was there that he made fast friends with Chino Moreno and Steph Carpenter. They went to school together and enjoyed skateboarding, getting high, and music. Eventually they started as a garage band in 1988. After a few years of jamming together Cunningham left the fledgling band for a short time, ultimately returning for good in '93. By '95 Deftones were signed by Madonna's record label, Maverick, and their first album was released later that year (Adrenaline).
Eight albums (3 platinum), a Grammy (Best Metal Performance '01), and 10M record sales later, Deftones are still going strong. New work has been in the hopper and ready to go for some time now after a 6-year gap. Last I heard, Chino said it's likely to be released in Sept of this year. We shall see. Anyway, happy birthday to one of rock's great drummers of the last 30 years, and my personal favorite.
Grateful, I challenge you to pull a jam band Deftones cover from your arse.
