There have been a lot of discussions about the threat of Big Tech and social media in general. Last year Netflix released The Social Dilemma that shed some light on the dangers of it. I also read a book recently from a former silicon valley employee titled "10 Arguments For Deleting Your Social Media Accounts Right Now."
As a father of two young kids, the impacts of social media on the high school generation is pretty scary. Suicide and depression rates (although I'm sure this isn't 100% social media related) are at all-time highs.
I have since deleted my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I honestly feel so much better. I was spending too much time on it and most of it was mindless junk or people arguing.
So do you still have yours? Have you ever considered getting rid of it?
