Hey fellow buckeyes. I am hoping that I can use some brain power to solve a mystery.
My car was broken into the other day however, this wasn’t an run of the mill break end. I have a Mercedes 2018 e300 and somehow the burglar bypassed my locked car. I know this to be the case because both keys are in my possession, not forceable entry and I was able to do a remote start from my phone app. With Mercedes, my car won’t start do a remote start unless the car is locked.
But it gets weirder. The burglar left a Samsung galaxy phone case, along with car replacement speaker-inside the box on the floor.
For one, how did they gain access to my car?
Two, why would someone leave evidence behind? What would possess someone to carry these two items to a crime scene, then leave them?
Any thoughts on this?
