Bezos Jeff Bezos

Amazon has inked an 8.5 billion dollar deal to buy MGM, giving it, amongst other things, a piece of the Bond franchise.  Amazon Prime, which includes access to Amazon Video, has 200 million subscribers (roughly 20 billion dollars in annual revenue) putting it on par with Netflix's 208 million.

Product placement opportunities abound.  Bond getting same day delivery of Q's latest gadgets.  Bond's latest car of choice will be an Amazon delivery van.  Instead of a martini, "shaken, not stirred" it'll be a Whole Foods Chameleon Organic Cold-brew Black Coffee. "Iced, not warm"

The real question:

Will MGM's iconic roaring lion be replaced with a smiling Bezos?
