I am OBSESSED with rock-docs. I'm a musician, love music, all forms (although my particular most delicious flavor is punk rock and it's sub-genres) from the poppiest stuff in the 80's to the loudest most chaotic Death Metal you've ever heard.
Lately I've been searching all over every streaming service for every rock-doc I can get my eyes and ears on. Even going as far as seeking out all the episodes of Behind the Music on YouTube and watching and enjoying a lot of them.
If I had to write out a top-10 of the rock-docs I've seen it would fall somewhere like this:
1. Filmage- the Descendents
2. Beyond the Lighted Stage- Rush
3. Flight 666- Iron Maiden
4. Back and Forth- Foo Fighters
5. Don't Breakdown- Jawbreaker
6. Some Kind of Monster- Metallica
7. Centuries of Torment- Cannibal Corpse
8. Salad Days- The Story of East Coast Hardcore
9. Metal, A Headbangers Journey
10. Pantera, Behind the Music
I have so many that would be honorable mention from A Fat Wreck (story of Fat Wreck Chords), Guns N Roses BTM, Megadeth BTM, The Other F-Word (punk rock/fatherhood doc), This is Spinal Tap (obviously a spoof)...
I'm just obsessed with Rock Docs... love them so much, what are some of the 11w Faithful favs?
