The Royal Rumble is only a couple of days away and is in our region, taking place this Saturday 01FEB in Indianapolis. I wish I was able to get over there to witness this in person!

It appears both men's and women's Rumble matches have multiple directions it could go with potential winners. The favorites on the men's side are CM Punk looking to headline his first WrestleMania, John Cena is on his retirement tour, plus former champions Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins all lurking. Even with Punk as a favorite, the Rumble match feels as wide open as ever. The possible returns of Brock and The Rock will loom over the event as well. 

On the Women's side, the number of potential winners may not be as large, but I don't see a foregone conclusion in this match either. Though, her history in WWE tells us that a returning Charlotte Flair has to be a favorite. There are more former champions that are possibly returning in this match as well. Becky Lynch appears ready to come back and although Columbus' own Alexa Bliss has had some contract issues with WWE, I wouldn't be surprised if that gets figured out before Saturday night and she returns as well. Other favorites are Bayley, Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Iyo Sky, and a return from Jade Cargill could push her into a possible winner.

Any thoughts on the two Rumble matches or names I may have missed as potential winners? 

So far it appears there are 2 other matches scheduled, both for titles. DIY(C) will battle Motor City Machine Guns in a 2 out of 3 falls match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. 

The big title match will be Cody Rhodes(C) defending against Kevin Owens again in a ladder match. 

I think Cody retains and I can see either tag team walking out as champions, though I believe DIY will find a way to retain as well.
