Spring rowing season is coming up. OSU is the three-time defending national champs. The preseason rankings are out and OSU is again #1. (Link Below)
The 5 of the 8 varsity B1G teams are ranked in the Top 20, more than any other conference, but likely no more than 4 will make the NCAA championships in late May due to conference automatic bids.
Anyone else follow college rowing? I have a kid in the #1 Iowa boat and they are ranked in the Top 20 for the first time in about 15 years. I doubt they can catch OSU, but are primed for a solid year.
Fun rowing fact for 11W readers: the SEC does not row as a conference. Only 'Bama and Tenn have teams and they compete as part of the Big XII. The fast girls in the SEC aren't in boats.
