This is an academic exercise. I just like to track who has beaten and lost to whom and I thought these three teams make an interesting comparison.
Who would you rank higher?
Obviously you can figure out who is who in about five seconds. That's fine; I left off the names just to avoid "instant name bias".
This ranking is solely based on on-the-field wins and losses. Yes, obviously analytics would play a role in real life.
Just curious your thoughts on comparing the on the field performance because it is a closer comparison than I would have thought.
Also worth pointing out here I am comparing teams that are no among the four undefeated teams, nor even among the seven one loss teams. Between those eleven teams and LSU, I would not have any of the below teams in my top ten.
Team White
- Best Wins: 1 loss USC, 3 loss Oregon State
- Losses: 1 loss UCLA, 4 loss Florida
Team Red
- Best Wins: 3 loss Texas, 3 loss Miss State
- Losses: 1 loss Tennessee, 2 loss LSU
Team Blue
- Best Wins: 3 loss Minnesota
- Losses: undefeated Ohio State, undefeated Michigan
