As has been thoroughly documented, the Big Ten West is a mess. After today (the 19th), Iowa is the only team fully in control of their own destiny, and they can secure their spot in Indianapolis on Friday afternoon against Nebraska.

Given the fits their defense gave us when we played earlier this season along with the long history of rematches in college football going the other way the second time around, I’d prefer not to see them again. Especially when they would have a extra day of rest/preparation over us.

If Iowa loses, Purdue just has to win and they’d be in.

If Iowa AND Purdue lose, Iowa would have the tiebreaker in any three-way tie involving themselves, Purdue, and Wisconsin/Minnesota.

In any 4-way tie (Iowa, Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin/Minnesota), Illinois goes to Indy.
