AAU Announces Addition of Six New Members

Some big news coming out of the world of academia, which also has some interesting implications in the neverending conference realignment saga.

It's also the largest group of schools added in a single year since the founding of the association in 1900.

George Washington
University of South Florida
Arizona State
Miami of FL
Notre Dame

A couple of surprises in there and I'm sure Georgia, NC State & Florida State fans are furious.

Arizona St & Miami have officially cleared a hurdle and distanced themselves from their in-state competition.
