Senior captain Brian Dooley, sees his teammate who's not on scholarship (Zach Conti) work his butt off for years and struggle to pay the bills to the point where he was selling his plasma during the fall season to try to make ends meet to be able to stay in school and on the team. Dooley walks into the coaches office and gives up his scholarship to give it to Conti. That's one hell of a thing to do.
We all talk about all the NIL money and all that stuff, but the reality of college sports for all but the elite of the elite can be very different.
