In today's "holy shit that's dumb" update from college football: https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/3489672/caleb-williams-reportedly-wants-partial-ownership-of-whatever-nfl-team-drafts-him
Caleb Williams reportedly wants to be a part owner of whichever team drafts him if he decides to declare. For a guy as incredibly talented as he is, and he deserves most of the hype around him (for his on-field play), this couldn't be a dumber move in my opinion.
Coming out of your worst game in college, losing in incredible fashion to the first real opponent you've played, while your team has looked vulnerable the previous couple of weeks, and being a general ass with his finger tattoos and such...how are you letting this get out there right now?
The NFL really does a great job at looking past character flaws most of the time in the interest of fielding a better team, but the NFL already has a rule against granting players equity. Aaron Rodgers already tried this and the league shut it down. What the hell does Williams think he can do that Aaron Rodgers can't?
