Following the Ohio State University men's tennis team has become an enjoyable pass-time for some of us here. The Buckeyes started this season ranked # 5 in the nation, despite the loss of senior No. 1 player, Peter Kobelt. They haven't missed a beat, winning their first 7 matches this year, and running OSU's historic home win streak to 198 straight matches. Wins over Auburn and Tulsa in last weekend's Intercollegiate Tennis Assoc. (ITA) Kick-Off earned the Buckeyes an invitation to the ITA Indoor Championships, to be held in Chicago in mid-February. The Bucks are the ITA Indoor defending champs, having won the school's first ITA title last year.
If you're looking for a sport to help pass the football off-season, Buckeyes tennis is yet another national championship chase you can follow. Admission to matches is free. Matches are also live streamed on the team's website, and can be found via connection on the Quick Links and Schedule pages. Away matches are usually accessible via the host school's tennis website.
