I've frequently heard the Michigan State team referred to in the singular as “Sparty”. As in “Sparty is going to knock off Michigan”, or “Buckeyes take down Sparty in East Lansing"
I think I’ve heard people refer to Wisconsin as “Bucky” once or twice, but do any other Big Ten teams have this thing going on? Do other Big Ten fans refer to Ohio State as Brutus?
