This week is a gauntlet for the men's lacrosse team. They play 3 ranked teams in one week. Starting with last Saturday's win against a very good Denver team who started the season ranked #1 in the nation and were #3 when we played them.
Last night they beat a solid Towson team, ranked at No. 16, 7-6 while holding the Tigers scoreless for close to the last 28 minutes of the game. That is no small feat in lacrosse! Goalie save percentages are awesome if you save 50% of the shots. http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/m-lacros/recaps/031715aaa.html
Next up they go to South Bend to play Notre Dame, who is ranked as the new #3 this week. Game will be on ESPNU at 3:30pm. Both Denver and ND are pretty solid locks to be in the playoffs come tournament time.
These wins are huge for Ohio State to build an at large resume should they not win the B1G, which is now home to two traditional powerhouse lacrosse programs in Johns Hopkins and Maryland. Fortunately we get both of them at home this year.
The heck with March Madness... go watch some lacrosse! You won't regret it. Go Bucks!
