During the final fourth down play in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, a blitzing Grant applied quick pressure on Miami quarterback Ken Dorsey, forcing an incompletion and clinching the BCS National Championship.

He enrolled at Ohio State in March of 2008 after a stellar career at Dr. Krop HS...named all-Florida and all-Dade County and was named to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl...also named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's "Super Southern 100"...had 146 tackles, seven sacks and five forced fumbles as a senior...district champion throwing the discus and also played basketball.
