I say this as a good thing. Obviously you keep Larry Johnson for as long as Larry Johnson wants to coach because he is the best dl coach in the world.
However back when it was announced that Ryan Day was taking over as HC I posed the question in a forum about Ryan Day bringing in a younger staff.
With The Mike Yurchic hiring as CO-OC QB coach, it is clear this is what is happening, he is only 42.
Al Washington was contacted per a report for the lb coaching job, Al Washington is only 34 years old.
Or of they get Marcus Freeman, he is also in his early to mid 30s as well
Brian Hartline is full time WR coach and he is in his early to mid 30s.
Alex Grinch is I believe 39 the same age as Ryan Day.
It is obvious the coaching staff is going to get a lot younger, I think this helps in recruiting, considering that teams negative recruit about coaches retiring, having a younger staff would take away any of those rumors.
