The Big Ten is hot and heavy in tv negotiations following the USC/UCLA additions. This report says that ESPN has lost in bidding to NBC/CBS and for this first time in 40 years ESPN/ABC will have no Big Ten games.
The report was very similar to many previous ones describing the traditional networks taking over the conference and valuing the national brand. FOX was said to have the “A” tier while NBC and CBS will split the “B” tier. It has been previously reported FOX will continue noon games with the top pick, CBS will replace its 330 SEC games with the B1G and NBC will create a weekly prime time tradition with the B1G. So we can expect the #1 game in the conference on at noon every week and the #2/#3 alternating the later slots.
ESPN previously purchased the entirety of the SECs tv package and will now Look to the big 12 or Pac 12 to fill in the gaps.
We have talked ESECPN into existence
(Mod Edit: Moving to the College Sports Forum, as this affects all the B1G, not just TOSU.)
