I've Lost Faith in the Buckeyes Ability to Win the Big Game.

I am not one of those fans that is calling for Ryan Day's head or excoriating 18-21 yr old players that put their blood, sweat and tears into playing this game, but I have lost faith in their ability to win when it truly matters. In 2002 I was sure they'd beat Miami, in 2006 I went into The Game confident; I knew it would be a battle, but I had confidence that they would prevail....I thought they would beat Florida in the Natty. In 2014 I was hearing nothing but "OSU is going to lose to Wisc in the B1G 'ship, Bama is going to kill them, Oregon is too good on offense, the Bucks don't have a chance" and I responded by guaranteeing the Bucks would win....can I really guarantee anything, No, but in my heart I truly felt like they would rise to the occassion and win.....they did. But now, whenever they enter a big meaningful game I almost hope that they at least show up and make it a game, I don't have that "They have to play us" mentality. I used to be almost in shock when we'd lose the big game, but now I'm more relieved when they win the big one. The point is what happened to that feeling that we the Bucks were the real deal and not a paper tiger when it really mattered. For me as a fan that is a disheartening shift in how I see the team.  I love the Buckeyes, I always will, but something is missing, something needs to change, the Buckeyes are a very good team but they are not a feared team...they used to be "oh shit, we gotta play Ohio State", now they are "we can beat Ohio State". Maybe I'm rambling but I have noticed a real shift and it's sad.
