I caught this at lunch today on the B1G Today from the Sparty episode. They have a new host & new young guy along with DiNardo and were discussing all of the new quarterbacks in the B1G. Namely, where do you invest your recruiting efforts these days? Talented recruits? Developmental projects? Experienced transfers?

Anyways, the new guy threw out these stats. There have been 140 5 star QB recruits all time (he didn't say consensus, average, etc., I'm guessing this is modern since 2000?). He said 20 of them have gone on to be 1st Round NFL Draft picks. He said one (1) has won a Super Bowl. Matthew Stafford in his 13th season, on his 2nd team. 

Pretty interesting. Going forward, you won't see many QB rooms like OSU's current one. 5th year 3 star, starting over high 4 stars, and even higher rated 5 stars.
