I understand Notre Dame is a huge fanbase with their own lunatic fringe, but I am surprised with the level of delusion I have seen so far and overblown confidence. (I am not saying we cannot lose by any means, but we are a much better team and Vegas reflects that). I’ve heard the classic “Not worried about Will Howard” plenty of times. Is every team just going to say this? It’s frankly lazy and incorrect. He’s no heisman winner, but he can definitely make game changing plays with his arm and legs. My favorite, however, is the constant overlooking of our defense. Hell, this is by far the best defense in the country and one of the greatest of all time. Especially with perhaps 2 more starters being out for ND on the OLine…like aren’t you the least bit concerned about that, because personally I believe it’ll be a party in the backfield for Sawyer and co.
