As we all know 247 had Ohio State pegged with the #2 class in the 2018 football team rankings, just 6 points behind Georgia and well ahead of #3 Texas by 17 points.

To see just how close we were to Georgia, let’s move one Georgia recruit over to Ohio State and recalculate the team rankings. Selecting a name at random, the first name I see on their team rankings is this Justin Fields fella.

Removing Justin Fields from Georgia drops their team points from 323.31 to 318.07.

Adding Justin Fields to Ohio State ups our rankings from 317.06 to 321.09. For the non math majors 321.09>318.07. 

If only we had a QB guru on our coaching staff capable of developing the top QB prospect in the draft and attracting one of the top QB recruits in the country.
