In news that wouldn't shock any Ohio State fan, Denzel Ward is looking pretty good during Browns OTA's:
Sure, it's spring, but it's always comforting when high draft picks show you why they were high draft picks, even this time of year. Considering that the No. 1 pick is currently laboring away third on the quarterback depth chart, the spotlight shines bright on No. 4 overall pick Denzel Ward.
"He played exceptionally well today," cornerback T.J. Carrie said. "Had a number of pass breakups, a number of great plays out there."
One of the highlights for Ward came on a throw to Josh Gordon in the back corner of the endzone. Ward leapt and broke up the play, a combination of athleticism and physicality against an athletic, physical and big wide receiver.
Every day, I see him getting a little bit better," Hue Jackson said. "The speed of the game is not too big for him. The stage is not too big for him. He is out there making plays.
Looks like the Browns brain trust finally has some brains. I can't wait to see Denzel on Sundays this Fall!
